This Privacy Policy explains how The Home Service Alliance ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses and shares information when you visit the website for The Home Service Alliance Podcast (the "Site"), apply to be a guest, or book a recording. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Guest applications. When you apply to be on the show, we collect your full name, mobile number, email address, social media handles, the story you write about yourself and your business, whether you are open to sharing in the cost of production, and whether you plan to promote a product or service on the show and, if so, what it is.
Recording bookings. If we invite you to book a recording, we collect your full name, company, email address, mobile number, trade, company website, social media profile, your story, the topics you want to discuss, how you heard about the show, the recording time you choose and whether you want text message updates.
Messages. If you email us or reply to one of our messages, we keep that correspondence.
Apart from the Meta Pixel cookies described above and a login cookie used only by our own staff, we do not set cookies.
We only send you text messages about your recording if you check the box agreeing to receive them when you book. These messages cover your booking confirmation and guest briefing. Message frequency varies with your booking. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Your consent to receive texts is not a condition of appearing on the show, and we do not sell or share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties for their marketing.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
We keep applications and booking details for as long as we need them to run the show, including to contact past guests and applicants about future episodes, unless you ask us to delete them. Published episodes may remain available indefinitely.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing Rio@thehomeservicealliance.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and we will honor requests as those laws require. We will not discriminate against you for making a request. Removing a published episode is handled case by case.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to applications and bookings. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Site and the show are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
